My Summer Plans

This summer I am not going to be able to do much considering am going to have to babysit my nephew a lot. I will have my weekends open to be able to go to parties and hang out with friends, but during the week I won't be able to do much. I don't even think we are going on vacation this year because of the little one. That's okay though because I would rather be home and spend time with family and friends. We also did take a vacation over Christmas Break to Florida and it was cold. Hopefully this summer will be fun and I'm also hoping it will be full of fun stuff to do. If it isn't then I am going to be one bored kid over summer break. I am also hoping that I will be able to go to Florida with my friend Abby. We go down there for her church thing every summer. And there is no parents allowed. So instead of a family vacation I am taking a friend vacation. Hopefully this will be a really fun summer.

School and Summer

School is almost over. There is only 6.5 more days of school left including today. I'm really excited because then it is summer and I don't have to worry about school and all the work. Summer is my favorite time of the year. There are long warm nights, hot summer days, and you start getting tan. When you are in school you be outside playing or be active. It just doesn't work that way. Now that we have gotten older we only go outside for gym if the gym teachers want to. To me that is not enough time outside. Then all the teachers give us a whole bus load of homework and we are expected to do all. In summer you dint have to worry about homework or teachers. I can't wait for summer!

One Shirt for the Rest of my Life.

I f I could wear one shirt for the rest of my life, I would probably choose my T.J. Oshie jersey shirt. I love that shirt a lot. It shows my favorite thing in the world and also my favorite player. The shirt is a dark blue with the alternate Blues logo on the front. The back looks just like one of the jerseys he would wear. The note on the front is very unique and just by looking at it people wouldn't know I was wearing a hockey shirt (unless you are a fan of hockey too). It would leave people wondering: What team is that? What does it represent? It's different, where can I find one? The shirt could get people looking on the internet to see what it is and then they might become a fan of what I think is the greatest hockey team ever. Wearing that one shirt for the rest of my life could change a lot of peoples views.

If you are an undercover cop that has to go to High School to be undercover, make sure you know all the things you need to know before going. First, you need to make sure you have proper high school attire. Wear the popular trending stuff. Second, when it comes to your backpack always get a two strap one. Never get an across the body one. When using the back pack you can use two straps or one. It's really up to you. Third, never act like you own the place on the first day you are there. That is a good way to get people to hate you and then it will be suspicious. Finally, never ever try to out smart anyone there. Just sit back and relax and let everyone else do the work for you. This guide should help you stay undercover at school.

Playing in the mud is so  much fun. I love how when you step in it the mud makes a funny noise. When it rains and my moms garden is muddy will go out there and play in it with my friends. Last year during the summer, after a hard rain, me and my friend went out there in our swimming suits and got into a mud fight. We were covered in mud. It was so much fun.

Well this picture is defiantly photo shopped but it is very unique. Abe Lincoln holding a stereo would have never happened because stereos were not invented back when he was alive. If there was stereos back when he was alive, I have a feeling he would have listened to classical music. He would have liked symphony too. I think this is a real picture that was taken of him except the stereo was put in the picture to create conversation.

Brother or Sister?

She Left Her Mind Behind

I think I would rather have an older sister than an older brother because then you can talk to her about girly things. But having an older brother means there is always someone there to protect you when you need it. I'm not saying an older sister can't stick up for you because mine does but a brother would be more intimidating. Is you have a sister then you can do each others hair cute for school or talk about what boys you like. Having a brother you could do that but I don't think he will enjoy it too much. I would rather have an older sibling because they can take you places instead of your parents. Having a younger one would mean having to deal with its fits and all that stuff. You always need someone there for you and ,in my opinion, having an older sister would be best for me and I'm glad I have my sister.

The Best Book I Have Ever Read

The Hunger Games

The best book I have ever read would probably have to be The Hunger Games. It is a really long book but there is a lot of action going on in it. Just the reality of it all is scary. I think Gale and Katniss are for real like the perfect couple. I don't really like Peeta that much. He kind of ruins the whole love side of it for Gale which makes me mad. I read the book in about 3 days and went and seen the movie a day later. Wow! Such a good plot for everything. My mom had no idea what the story was about, so when the movie started playing she had the most regretful look on her face. She didn't know what was coming to her that was for sure. I thought the ending for the first book was horrible because it left you hanging. That's why I had to read the second book as soon as possible. You need to read the book. Now.

Being an Aunt

How to combine baby names

I'm very excited to become an aunt soon. My sister is having a bot named Brayden Alexander. He is due May 30th. I love the Brayden's name because his initials are BAD. I think it is really funny. I've always loved little kids and now that I'm going to have a little boy to baby sit and take care of while my sister is at work. My sister and her boyfriend just finished Brayden's room which is blue and white and gray chevron. That is the theme along with elephants. Having a little baby in our family's life is going to be amazing. I'm so excited I cant wait till he comes. Brayden is going to be a summer baby which means I will be able to see him everyday and so will my mom and dad. They are very excited to be grandparents and I'm excited to be an aunt.

Snow Days

Is your child ever bored on a snow day? I bet they are. So have them try these different things: make a snow man and/or fort, have a snowball fight, make a fire indoors and roast marshmallows, read a book by the fire, rent a movie and watch it, play board games as a family, and catch up on homework the child hasn't finished. Your child will have a packed day if you use some of these ideas. It won't just be packed but they will have fun doing all this stuff too. this will make the day a little less boring and a little more fun for the whole family. Try to make the day a family day so the kids can have some time with you too. Your child could even have friend over or go walk around. Take your child shopping on a snow day. Shopping on a snow day is probably my favorite thing to do on a cold, snowy day. Use some of these ideas to make the day more fun.

Soccer

Soccer is one of my favorite sports to watch besides hockey. It is fun to watch them do all their moves and then score or to see the goalie block the hard kicks coming right for them. My favorite movie would have to be the rainbow. You kick the ball over your shoulder and continue running. I used to play soccer as defensive but I can not play anymore because my mom said she can't risk me getting a concussion or injury. I wish I could still play because I had so much playing it. I went to the soccer game that was held at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis with my dad. I got an authentic jersey and wore it the whole day. Watching the professional men play was amazing. Wishing I could play too.

Hockey

Hockey is the best sport ever. It has a lot of action and these guys are tough as nails. I could watch hockey every second of everyday. It is fun to go to games and see fights and the thrill of seeing your favorite player make a goal. To be honest, I don't know if I have a favorite player. All the players on the St. Louis Blues are amazing! I like Patrick Kane, TJ Oshie, David Backes, and Jonathan Quick. These guys are top notch in the NHL. Hockey is my addiction. Long Live the Note!

The movie we have been watching is called Pride which is based on a true story. It is about an African American man who starts an all African American swim team at Foster Recreational Center which is very rundown. Their first meet was a very bad one. They weren't fast enough swimmers and one of the boys got kicked in the face. Their second meet is coming up and is going to be held at their recreational center. The team they were facing was the best in the league but the coach acted like all of his players were sick and couldn't participate in the meet. So the teams did not swim that day. They have been practicing a lot and have a chance at this second meet. They have started to place in most of their meets now but the coach's past has started to catch up with him. When he was in high school he hit an officer because they were calling him names and picking on him because he was the only black swimmer. A news crew wanted to interview Coach Ellis but when they got in the rec. center the place was torn apart by three black men who wanted revenge on Coach Ellis. He started to beat all three of them up and almost got arrested for it. Coach put himself on suspension for it and put one of his swimmers in charge of the next meet. This meet was very hard but they ended up taking the championship trophy home.

I think this is a very good movie. I would defiantly watch the movie again. it had you going through so many different emotions. One minute your sad, the next your angry, then your happy for them all. I would recommend this movie for sure. The story line was perfect in all ways. You felt like you knew the characters your whole life even though haven't. No one should go through what these kids had to go through. It was not right for people to treat them like that because they were different. It shouldn't matter if you are white or black, normal or a little quirky, people should not be rude to you because of it. Just remember not everyone is like you or going to like you but don't let that stop you from doing what you love. If you get the chance to watch this movie, please watch it. You will probably see things differently.

The worst thing they could probably do is force the kid to do something they don't want to do. I am no talking like doing chores or little stuff like that but forcing them to do a sport when they hate it. Even sending them into the army. Also when your parents think you are perfect but you are not and all you want to be is a kid. You don't want to miss your best friends birthday party just because your parents made you participate in the optional practice. When you hit an age in your teens you want to go to those parties and stay out late to hang with your friends but your parents won't let you, you tend to sneak out so you can go even though it shouldn't be like that at all. They want to keep you safe but they don't understand that you just want to be a kid and not be pushed to do things you don't want.
