First, you need to make sure you have proper high school attire. Wear the popular trending stuff. Second, when it comes to your backpack always get a two strap one. Never get an across the body one. When using the back pack you can use two straps or one. It's really up to you. Third, never act like you own the place on the first day you are there. That is a good way to get people to hate you and then it will be suspicious. Finally, never ever try to out smart anyone there. Just sit back and relax and let everyone else do the work for you.
